“Slat Series”
This series, exploring the theme of human intervention in the natural landscape, began with 1″ paper strips, and a limited palette of 6 colours. The slats were painted, shaped, glazed and then used as repetitive compositional elements.
Further manipulation of the paper included punching discs, layering, burnishing and molding to create 3-dimensional effects.
